HARRISBURG, Pa. – Thomas E. Boyer, is bound over for trial on a  murder charge following a preliminary hearing Friday before Magisterial District Judge George Zozos.

Boyer is alleged that Boyer, 28  killed fifty-two year old Theodore McCarty in McCarty’s apartment at 11 S. 19th Street in Harrisburg back on September 4, 2015.

McCarty’s body was discovered by city police the next day after a neighbor noticed things weren’t normal with his apartment.

An autopsy report introduced at Boyer’s preliminary hearing indicated that McCarty was stabbed approximately seventy-five times.  Boyer, who lived next to the victim, is scheduled for formal arraignment in August. A trial could proceed in the early part of 2017.
