Gerber Products Company is voluntarily recalling specific Gerber Organic 2nd Foods pouches after identifying a packaging defect that may lead to product spoilage during transport and handling.

The following products are included in the recall:

GERBER® Organic 2ND FOODS® Pouches – Pears, Carrots & Peas, 3.5 ounce pouch, UPC: 15000074319

Batch: 51945335XX, best by date of July 12, 2016
Batch: 51955335XX, best by date of July 13, 2016

GERBER® Organic 2ND FOODS® Pouches – Carrots, Apples & Mangoes, 3.5 ounce pouch, UPC: 15000074395

Batch: 519555335XX, best by date of July 13, 2016
Batch: 51965335XX, best by date of July 14, 2016

No other Gerber products are included in this recall.

The pouches may appear bloated and the product inside may have an off taste or odor. There have been three consumer reports of temporary gastrointestinal symptoms, however, but it is not confirmed that these are related to the product.

If you purchased pouches with the above UPCs, batch codes and expiration dates please contact the Gerber Parents Resource Center at 1-800-706-0556 anytime day or night for a replacement coupon.

GIANT Food Stores, LLC and MARTIN’s Food Markets have announced removal of these products from store shelves.
