LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — UPDATE (11:50 a.m.) Police have identified the victim of the crash as Anthony Whitfield of Willow Street.

Authorities say Whitfield was traveling east on Route 30 when his Hyundai Accent left the roadway, struck the embankment and rolled multiple times.

Route 30 eastbound was closed for approximately four hours while the crash was investigated by the Hempfield-Manor Crash Team.

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Sgt. A.J. Lombardo, East Hempfield Township Police Department at 717-898-3103.

UPDATE (10:00 a.m.) East Hempfield Township Police say a 29-year-old man was ejected from his vehicle, after a single-vehicle crash, and died at the scene.

Route 30 eastbound is expected to reopen soon, according to police.

The crash is still under investigation.

Emergency dispatch says the coroner has been called to the scene of a crash on Route 30, this morning.

The accident happened around 6:22 a.m. on Route 30 eastbound near mile marker 261.8.

Route 30 eastbound is currently closed, according to dispatch.
