CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — UPDATE (July 29, 11:15 a.m.): Authorities say that the Carlisle bank robbery suspect, “The Pink Lady Bandit”, and an accomplice were arrested.
According to the FBI Charlotte Twitter, both the bandit and an accomplice were arrested:
FOX 8 Cleveland reports that the FBI Charlotte has identified the “Pink Lady Bandit” as Circe Baez, 35.
Alexis Morales, 28, was also arrested in connection to the crimes.
They were taken to the Pitt County Detention Center where they’re both held under a $4 million bond.
According to reports, the FBI believes that the duo are responsible for at least four bank robberies, with the first being in Carlisle on July 20.
UPDATE (July 29): It appears that the suspect in a bank robbery in Carlisle is wanted on a much larger scale.
So much in fact that the suspect has earned the nickname of the “Pink Lady Bandit.”
According to the FBI Charlotte Twitter, the bandit struck a bank in Hamlet, North Carolina on July 26, and has allegedly robbed banks in at least three states, including Pennsylvania.
PREVIOUSLY: Carlisle Borough Police are investigating a bank robbery where an unknown woman passed the teller a note and left the bank with cash.
On July 20, police were dispatched to Orrstown Bank at 1 Giant Lane, in Carlisle for a reported robbery.
Police say the suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic female, approximately five feet tall, wearing a green striped shirt and jean shorts.
The suspect was last seen leaving the bank on foot.
