LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. – East Lampeter Township Police charge Paul Ryes Sands, 38 and Michelle Alison Hesler, 30, both of Paradise, in two home invasion style robberies of a 75 year old male victim at his home in the 300 block of Snakehill Road, Leola.
Police say on Saturday, August 8, Sands and Hesler, armed with a baseball bat, entered the victim’s home through an unlocked door. They threatened him and demanded money. The suspects stole a television, telephone and cash from the victim.
About a week later on Friday, August 14, the couple returned to the same residence and forced their way in when the victim unknowingly unlocked the door. Sands and Hesler again threatened and demanded money from the victim.
This time they allegedly stole a new replacement television that the victim had just bought.
During the investigation ELTPD Detective Chris Jones identified the suspects and determined that they had specifically targeted the victim.
Sands and Hesler are charged with two counts of Robbery and two counts of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.
Following arraignment both were sent to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail for Sands and $50,000 for Hesler.
