Harrisbug, PA. -  Candidates for Pennsylvania Attorney General squared off in a debate on the Widener University campus in Harrisburg. Senator John Rafferty and Commissioner Josh Shapiro fielded questions from local media about their priorities if they are elected, and their primary concerns heading into election day.

"I'm saying this is the most important election for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the attorney general," said Senator John Rafferty. "We need someone there to be the chief law enforcement official and the chief lawyer, who understands the role of Attorney General, who is going to be active as Attorney General, and aggressive at going after those who are trying to do harm to the citizens of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania."

"I think we've got to be real about our experience, and real about who has a serious track record of turning government around and making it work again," said Commissioner Josh Shapiro.

That forum was open to the public.
