ARMAGH TOWNSHIP (WPMT)-The Pennsylvania Game Commission is looking for information about a bear poaching incident that took place in Mifflin County on Nov. 2.

The 200 pound bear was found in a shale pit off Treaster Valley Road in Armagh Township, according to the Pennsylvania Game Commission. The two front paws of the female bear were removed and her body had several arrows wounds. The bear was found wrapped in a tarp.

“Those responsible for this senseless killing need brought to justice, and we need the help of anyone knowing who did this to step forward,” said Jeffrey Mock, a  Wildlife Conservation Officer.  He also said that anyone coming forward with information will remain anonymous.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the TIP hotline at 1-800-742-8001. A reward is available for information leading to a conviction.
