A section of  westbound Route 30 in Lancaster County is closed after a pedestrian is struck by a tractor-trailer.  It happened at around 3:30 Wednesday afternoon on Route 30 near the Malleable Road overpass in West Hempfield Township.  Township Police say the victim, an  unidentified 57 year old man from Lititz, had parked along the west bound berm of the road.  He stepped into the travel lane and was hit by a passing tractor trailer.  The victim was rushed to Lancaster General Hospital where he is listed in Critical condition.   Westbound traffic on Route 30 between Prospect Road and Route 441, the Columbia exit was closed for hours.

West Hempfield Township Police are investigating.
