Carlisle Borough Council votes to decriminalize small amounts marijuana

The ordinance creates a pilot program, where police will give reports to council once a month

Carlisle Borough Council voted to adopt an ordinance decriminalizing small amounts of marijuana Thursday evening. 

The ordinance creates a pilot program, where police will give reports to council once a month and make any reccomendations to improve the program.

Under this ordinance, anyone found in possession of a small amount of marjuana, 30 grams or less, paraphernalia or smoking small amount of marijuana in a public space, would be issued a citation.
