14-year-old dies after shooting in Harrisburg

A 14-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene of a shooting in Harrisburg.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — UPDATE (May 27): A 14-year-old is dead after a shooting in Harrisburg.

On May 26 around 4:00 p.m., police responded to the 2300 block of Kensington Street for a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival on scene, officers told FOX43 they located an unresponsive victim on Center Street, a small roadway off Kensington Street.

Police have identified the victim as a 14-year-old Harrisburg resident, and say he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officials say the investigation is ongoing.

Police say the shooting happened in the 2300 block of Central Street, an alley behind Kensington Street. 

Officers found one person with gunshot wounds, they were pronounced dead at the scene.
