PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Marshall Keely is anchor and reporter for WPMT-FOX 43. Marshall anchors FOX 43 News at 10 on Friday and Saturday nights. You’ll also find his live reports and investigative pieces in weekday editions of FOX 43 News.

Marshall returned to South Central PA to join FOX 43 team after a year and a half at our sister station, WNEP, in Scranton. There, he worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor; covering breaking news, crime, politics and human interest stories. Marshall was on-scene as investigators searched for three lab monkeys who escaped their enclosure and ran into the woods after the truck carrying them crashed in Central Pennsylvania. Marshall spent three days covering the deadly 80-car pileup on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County and reported on a suspected serial killer who was connected to killings in Pennsylvania and Michigan.

Marshall’s first reports aired on WJAC-TV in Johnstown, PA, as he covering the Altoona region. In addition to reporting in Altoona, Marshall served as the weekend news anchor in Johnstown for a year. In Altoona, Marshall followed the recounts during the 2020 elections and shared the stories of children and adults with disabilities who received life-changing adaptive bicycles and strollers from a Pennsylvania non-profit.

Marshall started his television news career at WHP in Harrisburg where he interned and later worked as a production assistant. He regularly appeared on the station’s high school football segments.

A Maryland native, Marshall grew up on a farm just outside of Hagerstown, Maryland. He attended Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania where he earned a degree in journalism. While working on his undergraduate degree, Marshall received an Emmy Award for his story highlighting a youth summer camp for siblings of cancer patients and survivors that he attended in his youth and continues to volunteer with in his adulthood. Additionally, Marshall was a student news director for SUTV – the Shippensburg University Television station.

Marshall is the self-proclaimed biggest fan of ‘The Office’ out there. He still watches the show regularly and enjoyed visiting ‘The Office’ sites in and around Scranton during his time at WNEP. You might catch Marshall running along the Susquehanna River or hiking in the beautiful Pennsylvania Mountains. He enjoys staying active in nature.
