Melanie joined FOX43 in September 2008. Melanie began her broadcast career in radio while still in high school in western Pennsylvania. Upon graduating with a communications/journalism degree from Shippensburg University, Melanie followed her love of everything media to WHP TV in Harrisburg, then onto becoming a traffic anchor at the Traffax Command Center and reporter for WGAL TV in Lancaster.
Melanie recently earned her Master of Science degree from Shippensburg University and occasionally returns to her alma mater as a guest speaker.
Melanie supports our community through participation in the American Heart Association Heart Walk, the American Diabetes Association's Walk for Diabetes and Tour de Cure and donating to the United Way. She was also a dog foster parent for PAWS. In her free time, Melanie bikes, hikes and enjoys spending time with her two young children. You may also find Melanie munching on Thin Mints as she serves as her daughter's Brownie Girl Scout leader.
