Sarah is plagued with recurring nightmares in which her and Cameron stand over Comartie’s grave wearing dowdy pink dresses, John is accosted by metal cacti and Sarah is plagued by the triangular formation of three dots.

Mexico’s annual Day of the Dead celebration is the spooky backdrop for this week’s episode, which starts out with John and his teen sweetheart Riley running away to the small Mexican village where John spent part of his childhood.

It's time for everyone to go see the therapist in this week's episode, as our heroes and villains look into the life of Dr. Boyd Sherman, a child psychologist and family therapist whose name appears on the list of people who have played a role in the SkyNet-triggered apocalypse. Does the doctor ultimately wind up helping the human resistance or the machines, and will the other side kill him once role is known?

The future comes to bear on the present yet again when a new terminator arrives to kill Martin Bedell, a hapless husband grilling in his backyard. Cameron reads the article in the newspaper and our heroes quickly realize that the terminator is doing much like the original one (think Ahhnold in shades) did when he came to kill Sarah, i.e. going through all of the Sarah Connors in the phone book and killing them all in order to get the one he wanted. Why is this terminator hunting people with this name?
