Holly Zimmerman heard gun shots around 9 a.m. Friday morning outside her home along the 2400 block of North 6th Street. Zimmerman says an older man was dragged out of his car, then a fight broke out. Ten people were involved.
"He was trying to defend himself with a baseball bat, but they got him out and they took the baseball bat, then they just got into a big fight," said Zimmerman.
Zimmerman says a small child was with the victim and watched helplessly, as the man was beaten with the bat and a drill.
"A cordless power drill, guy was beatin' him over the head with it, that and a baseball bat," said William Zimmerman of Harrisburg.
Police say the victim was taken to the hospital, a blue van was taken away as evidence. Police say the fight may have stemmed from an earlier incident at a store downtown, but they're not sure what the fight was over. Neighbors worry after days of peace, the violence will start up again.
"It stopped, but here we go again today," said Brenda Harvin, Harrisburg.
"It seemed to be calmed down for a couple days, but this is Harrisburg I don't think they're ever going to stop it," said William Zimmerman.
