WINDSOR TOWNSHIP, YORK COUNTY - A morning car crash has claimed the life of one man on Windsor Road in Windsor Twp, York County.

Police say, two cars were traveling in opposite directions when the male driver of a Oldsmobile sedan may have become distracted by the sun. He crossed the center line and hit a Ford Explorer head on. The Explorer was heading north on Windsor Road. The female driver of the Explorer hurt both of her legs and an arm and was taken to York Hospital. The male driver in the Oldsmobile was pronounced dead on the scene.

The name of the victim is pending notification of next of kin.

Police continue to investigate what caused the accident. Right now, they believe the early morning, low sunshine may have played a role in the crash.

Windsor Road between Freysville Road and Manor Road will remain shut down for several hours as police continue to investigate the accident.
