Multi-Alarm Fire at Dauphin County Scrapyard

Fire crews responded late Tuesday afternoon to a large fire in Northern Dauphin County. The fire broke out at around 4 o'clock at One Stop Recycling, on Pottsville Street in the Borough of Wisconisco, just north of Lykens.

The fire quickly went to three alarms. Reports are that the scrap and salvage yard had just received a load of vehicles. The fire is believed to have started in the fuel tank of one of those vehicles. Fire crews were stilling battling hot spots more five hours later. There were no injuries.
