WEST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, YORK COUNTY -
After rain kept rides empty on opening day, they were back in action Saturday. Kids of all ages and parents were glad the weather didn't put a damper on the weekend too.
"We don't have to go around looking for ponchos, we can just enjoy ourselves," said Joe Schwing of Baltimore.
Whether it's the ones that go round and round or up and down, they all seem to draw a crowd.
"It's really fun and the rides are awesome, really awesome," said Kevin Eichelberger of Mt. Wolf.
On opening day 2009, rain left many rides empty. It wasn't just bad news for fair goers.
"It was a sad scene for everybody that works so hard expecting to have customers. It was kind of difficult for everybody. We look forward to our end season when things come together, but that was a bad start," said Dee Gravely, York Fair Worker.
The York Fair continues through next week.
