WEST HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, LANCASTER COUNTY -
Plenty of people have football parties on Sunday night, but how about a "Windows" party?
Joe Robuccio of West Hempfield Township invited his friends over to celebrate the release of Microsoft's new operating system, Windows 7.
Robuccio tested the system for Microsoft. That's why the company chose him to host one of 14,000 launch parties nationwide.
"At first, I was a little sketchy," Robuccio said. "I was like, 'Who wants to come to a nerdy Windows 7 party?' But, I think it's pretty fun."
Windows 7 is touted as an extremely "user-friendly" system with faster speeds and flashy graphics. Microsoft is hoping the new OS will counter rival Apple's surging sales of Mac computer products.
