Police Arrest Six People for DUI at Dauphin County Sobriety Checkpoint

A Halifax Township DUI sobriety checkpoint leads to seven arrests and nine citations.

Pennsylvania State Police in Lykens and the Halifax Fire Department conducted the checkpoint from 11:30 p.m. October 10 to 3:30 a.m. October 11 along State Route 147, close to the Dollar General Store.

• Six DUI arrests
• One possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia arrest.
• One driving under suspension citation.
• One expired registration citation.
• One expired inspection citation.
• Six other various traffic violation citations.

The checkpoint was held without incident.
