ANNVILLE TOWNSHIP, LEBANON COUNTY -
Police are investigating how a python snake ended up near a laundromat. Someone found the snake around 10:30 Friday morning, at the Annville Laundromat, in Annville Township.
Workers from Zoo America, at Hershey Park, were called in to collect it. The snake is now being looked after by Forgotten Friend Reptile Sanctuary, in Lancaster County.
It's an Albino Burmese Python, measuring about 10 feet long, and weighed 20 pounds. Forgotten Friend officials say it appears neglected and underweight.
Officials believe it may be someone's pet that got loose, because it's not native to North America.
The python will be on display on Saturday, July 11th, at Nixon County Park, in York County, as part of an educational event.
