The West Shore Police Department began the chase just after 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Pennsylvania State Police in York picked up the pursuit as it continued along Pleasant View Road and State Route 177 in Fairview Township.

Scott refused to unlock his car doors and exit his vehicle as instructed, police say. He had to be forcibly removed from his car after cops broke out several windows and used an electronic immobilization device on him.

Police took Scott into custody without further incident and discovered he had outstanding warrants from Perry and York Counties.

Police say Scott committed numerous traffic violations during the pursuit, including:
  • Maximum speed limits.
  • Driving on roadways laned for traffic.

  • Careless driving.

Scott is being held on previous charges.
