CARLISLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY -
A Perry County duo are accused of scamming an elderly woman out of $14,000 during a 10-month period through their lawn care service.
34-year-old Crista Fox and 40-year-old David Guiliani, of the 300 block of North 6th Avenue in Newport, faces charges of deceptive business practices and theft by deception.
Police say the couple defrauded 83-year-old Jeanne Kelly, of the 500 block of Mooreland Avenue in Carlisle, during 2008 and 2009. Kelly suffers from the beginning stages of dementia, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
Interviews with one of Kelly's sons and her neighbor indicate the pair did very little work on the property, according to court documents.
Fox and Guiliani have been released on bail from Cumberland County Prison.
