SOUTH LEBANON TOWNSHIP, LEBANON COUNTY -
A helicopter flies a man to a local hospital after a serious vehicle accident in South Lebanon Township.
It happened around 1:30 p.m. when 62-year-old Wayne Minardi, of the 400 block of Larkspur Lane in South Lebanon Township, drove north on South Fifth Avenue. He went off the roadway and crashed into a tree near the intersection of Keller Drive and South Fifth Avenue, police say.
Minardi suffered life-threatening injuries and was trapped in his work truck. He was airlifted to Hershey Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.
The incident is under investigation. Police are unsure whether speed was a factor.
