Members of the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors joined together and donated their time to tear up old carpet, re-paint and renovate an old warehouse in Mechanicsburg. The warehouse will become a new food pantry to be operated by New Hope Ministries, a community based Christian social services agency. The re-vamping of the warehouse is all being made possible by an anonymous million dollar donation.
"We're so blessed to have an anonymous foundation come through with a million dollar gift for us and they challenged us -- Would you raise a million dollars to complete the project and get the gift? And we're already raised $600,000 in funds and donated services and equipment," Eric Saunders of New Hope Ministries said.
New Hope Ministries serves Dillsburg, Dover and Mechanicsburg areas.
