PEQUEA TOWNSHIP, LANCASTER COUNTY -
A two-vehicle head-on crash kills one person and injures two others.
It happened around 4:45 p.m. in the 3200 block of Willow Street Pike north, close to the intersection of East Boehms Road.
Witnesses reported the accident with entrapment.
Police say the car being driven by Amos Shissler crossed head-on into the path of another car in the southbound lane of the highway struck another car driven by Lindsay Hemmelstein.
Amos Shissler, was transported to Lancaster General Hospital for surgery and is listed in critial condition. His passenger, Aleen B. Shissler, was pronounced dead at Lancaster General Hospital by the coroner.
Hemmelstein was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The accident shut down the road between Shiprock Road and Penn Grant Road in Pequea Township until 7:30 p.m.
Police are still investigating.
