DUNCANNON, PERRY COUNTY -
A seven-month-old husky recovers after being shot through its back in Duncannon.
Michael Testa, 24, of Cornfield Circle, told police he shot the dog with a bow and arrow because it was a nuisance, Pennsylvania State Police in Newport Tpr. Scott Myers says.
"Testa's bow and arrow is used for hunting and matched up perfectly to the dog's wounds," Myers says. Testa told police the dog always ran around and got in his pond.
It happened around 9:30 p.m. June 15, and Testa is charged today after confessing to the crime, police say.
He faces charges of cruelty to animals and disorderly conduct.
The arrow pierced the dog through its entire back, but it is expected to be okay, police say.
