The money raised at an evening roller skating party at the Fountainblu Skating Arena will help Aaron Thomas's family pay for everyday living expenses.

The third grader from Dover is fighting an aggressive type of leukemia. He was not able to be at the benefit due to his treatment at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

"He's upset he's not here today, but I promised him I would bring him some treats and prizes and gifts," Thomas's mother, Jenny Wagner, said. "I told him I would take some pictures of his friends."

Thomas has battled cancer since he was five years old. His leukemia was in remission until early this fall. The Dover community and his football team got together to host the skating party.
