The incidents have involved all sorts of makes and models of cars, SUV's, and trucks, as well as Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Dallastown.

Police say on the night of March 2nd in particular, the vandals were especially busy, vandalizing 19 cars.

Sergeant Rod Varner says, "what makes this one unusual is just the sheer amount we've had, as well as the length of time, this has been occurring for almost three weeks now."

Cardboard covers the back windows of several SUV's parked on North Franklin Street in Red Lion.

Richard Knapp lives on that street, he says, "it makes me real angry because I work for what I have and I've got to put money back into it to have it repaired; people don't appreciate what they don't work for."

Amanda Lubold, also from Red Lion says, "you don't want to have a plastic bag on your car and all that stuff & it's like $200 dollars to replace a window, I don't have $200 dollars in my pocket to replace a window."

The vandalism has been widespread. It's happened in Dallastown, Red Lion, Windsor, Felton, Yoe, York Township and Windsor Township; over a five mile radius.

Wilson Burns, who lives along North Franklin Street says, "I think kids need something better to do with their time, like music or something."

"Anybody that plays with a gun could get hurt or potentially hurt somebody else," Knapp says.

Molly Fleming of Red Lion says, "I would lose my mind if that happened to me, especially if my child was in the car."

"I think it's really immature and rude, I think it's disrespectful," Lubold says.

Police say even though these may seem like unsolvable crimes, the department is aggressively investigating.

They ask all vandalism victims to file a report. They also urge people in these effected areas to be aware of suspicious vehicles and strange noises like a BB gun pop or glass breaking. They say call 9-1-1 right away.

A reward may be offered for information leading to an arrest in this case.
