NARVON, LANCASTER COUNTY -
A Lancaster County kennel owner is found guilty of Animal Cruelty.
John Zimmerman, the owner of the Silver Hill Kennel in Narvon, was found guilty of two summary charges of animal cruelty.
Back in March, Dog Law Officers with the Department of Agriculture discovered dogs in Zimmerman's kennel with suffering from severe dental diseases.
Two of the dogs, a 5 year-old male Papillion and a 5 year-old female Dachshund were seized and brought to the Humane League of Lancaster.
Veterinarians pulled twenty teeth from the Papillion and numerous teeth from the Dachshund. Both of the dogs required antibiotic therapy and pain medication.
Zimmerman was fined $150.00 for each count of animal cruelty and ordered to forfeit the dogs to the Humane League.
