The victim told police that he was walking on Reel Street when three black men wearing black hooded sweatshirts and blue bandanas approached him and demanded his belongings.

Police say when the victim complied, the suspects hit him in the head with a gun before shooting him.

The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Harrisburg City Police are investigating and believe this recent shooting may be related to a similar incident that happened in the 2100 block of Penn Street around 6:45pm yesterday afternoon, where another victim was shot in the leg during a robbery attempt.

Police believe the three male suspects are young, possibly even teenagers, according to Harrisburg Mayor Stephen Reed.

"All three last night had guns, but two stood back and really didn't do anything. There was one aggressor who hit the victim on the head and fired two shots. The other two stoof back and didn't do antyhing," Reed said.

Anyone who may have information on the shootings is urged to contact Harrisburg City Police at 717-255-3131.
