PennDOT crews tackle the mess left behind by flooding. A portion of Seven Valleys Road, about a 1,000 ft. long, was washed out. A bridge on the road may be destroyed by the high rushing water.

"It buckled the roadway up, lifted it up off the bridge deck. Right now we are peeling the blacktop off, trying to get to the structure to see if the bridge structure is ok," said Gary Ishman, PennDOT Assistant County Maintenance Manager.

The road will be blocked off until at least Friday afternoon, forcing many drivers to find alternate routes.

"All night long all you hear is traffic, we have to keep the windows shut if we want to sleep, it is traveled that much," said Tammy McKenzie, neighbor.

"This is the main road for Glen Rock that people use to go to work," said Dennis Lerew, neighbor.

Dennis Lerew lives in the neighborhood. He witnessed the destruction as it happened.

"It was amazing, I never saw nothing like it, covering the guard rails and everything," said Lerew.

A section of Junction Road was also closed due to damage. Neighbors say the road was a wall of water Wednesday evening.

"It sounded like Niagara Falls," said McKenzie.

While clean up is underway and the water is receding, some are taking advantage of the storm's aftermath.

"My son is riding his raft down there in the meadow with oars, just floating along," said McKenzie.
