DILLSBURG, YORK COUNTY - Local geologists say there have been over 1,000 earthquakes in 13 months near Dillsburg, York County. Wednesday, they met with neighbors to talk about all the activity.

"We don't think there is any reason to be afraid that this is going to build to a big one," said Helen Delano, PA Geological Survey.

The largest quake registered a 2.9. Neighbors say it was enough to shake their homes.

"It almost sounds like a sonic boom, it is just a big explosion sound and then if it is close to us, it rattles the windows," said Marianne Botta, Dillsburg.

"The sound will wake you up and the feeling will make you wonder what is going to be next," said Rod Lentz, Carroll Township.
