CARLISLE, PA—
A quick response from emergency crews in Carlisle and a well built fire wall prevented the spread of fire damage early Sunday morning. The fire started around 3:30AM in a second floor apartment on Wiltshire West Street off of Mayapple Drive. Careless smoking caused extensive fire damage in the unit and water and smoke damaged the apartment directly below. Only two families requested help from the Red Cross. There were no injuries from the fire.
