EAST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, YORK COUNTY—
A York County worker is hospitalized in critical condition after a work-related accident early Monday morning. The accident happened at Americold Logistics on Steamboat Boulevard in East Manchester Township, York County. An one-ton weight apparently fell on the man's head..Fire and police were called to the industrial complex just off North George Street Extended around 3 a.m. When they got on scene, they found the 26-year-old victim with a crushed head. Somehow, a one-ton weight fell on the man. Another worker was also injured in the accident. He was treated and released from a local hospital. A company spokesman declined to identify either victim.
The company's website describes Americold as the largest temperature controlled food distribution company in the United States.
