MONROE TOWNSHIP, CUMBERLAND COUNTY -
Police in Cumberland County search for the suspect who allegedly stole a vehicle, crashed it into a MedEd utility pole, and then took off on foot into the woods.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Cold Springs Tavern along the 900 block of Park Place in Monroe Township.
The 43-year-old male victim, from Dillsburg, entered his car when the suspect approached him and asked for money. The victim told the suspect he did not have any money, and the suspect pulled the victim his car and got away, police say.
The suspect only made it about a fourth of a mile when he crashed the car.
Police say the suspect is a black male in his mid 20s.
