SHIPPENSBURG TOWNSHIP, CUMBERLAND COUNTY -
An East Berlin man recovers after a violent attack and stabbing in Shippensburg Township.
It happened around 2 a.m. Friday along the first block of Richard Avenue.
Adam Weaver, 23, told police he became involved in a verbal argument with several people. The argument turned physical, and Weaver was stabbed in the right pectoral area twice and in the lower left portion of his abdomen once, according to police.
Weaver was also punched and kicked while on the ground, police say. The victim got back on his feet, and the suspect and other people involved took off on foot southbound on Richard Avenue.
The suspect is described as a black male. Anyone with information is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police in Carlisle at 717-249-2121.
The incident remains under investigation.
