HARRISBURG -
Two red cross volunteers are shipping off, heading to West Virginia to help flood victims.
Gerry Dombard, from Denver, PA and Bill Parsons from lewistown are making the 7 hour journey to West Virginia. Once there, they will be helping to set up a shelter for the flooding victims. Both say, they are prepared for the mission at hand.
"You're looking at a 100 or 150 people packed in a gym for a couple of days until the flood goes down. It's up to us to keep it organized," said Dombard.
"I just hope to accomplish helping these people and learn more about the shelter business and hopefully I can do it again," said Parsons.
The deployment is scheduled to last three weeks, however it could end sooner.
