Police Look for Man Who Led Them on a Pursuit in Cumberland County
SHIPPENSBURG, CUMBERLAND COUNTY - Pennsylvania State Police in Carlisle search for the suspect who led them on a chase through the streets of Shippensburg.

An officer tried to stop a white GMC Safari, with North Carolina registration YXZ9276, at State Route 11 and North Earl Street just before 8 p.m. October 10.

Police say the driver failed to stop at a red light, and cops then tried to pull him over.

Police turned on their lights and siren, but the van turned south on Burd Avenue and then west on Seneca Street. The vehicle stopped at the intersection of Orange Street and Seneca Street, and the driver took off on foot, police say.

The suspect is described as a black male with short corn-rowed hair and last seen wearing blue jeans, a light blue t-shirt, and a dark blue sweatshirt. His name may possibly be Darrell.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
