State Police Investigate Homicide in Perry County
State Police in Perry County are investigating a shooting that claimed the life of a 46-year-old man Landisburg man. EMS units were called to 481 Warm Springs Road around 7:45 a.m. for the reports of a person that had been shot. When they arrived, they found 46-year-old Daniel Miller of Landisburg shot in the upper body. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The investigation in to the shooting is ongoing, but state police say Miller went to the home along Warm Spring Road and a confrontation ensued between him and the homeowner. State Police say the homeowner shot Miller with a high-powered air rifle. Miller suffered a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was pronounced dead on the scene. His body was taken away by the Perry County Coroner's Office just before 11 a.m.

Fox43 was the first news team on the scene and saw a State Police helicopter circling as a number of troopers investigated the shooting. No word what the helicopter was searching for, but one neighbor says, the low-flying helicopter alerted him to the situation. He says, this is a rural area that barely even sees cars, no matter shootings.
