LOWER SWATARA TOWNSHIP, DAUPHIN COUNTY - A motorcycle crash in Lower Swatara Township claims the life of a man. It happened shortly after 6 a.m. along Eisenhower Boulevard, close to the intersection with Route 283.

Police say the man traveled northbound along Eisenhower Boulevard when he hit a curb and was thrown through the air. He was pronounced dead about an hour later at Hershey Medical Center.

Police have not identified the victim, but a woman claiming to be his grandmother tells FOX43 he is 26-year-old Donald Mummert Jr.

Speed may have played a factor in the crash, police say. The man was wearing a helmet.
