HARRISBURG, DAUPHIN COUNTY -
A shooting in Harrisburg leaves one man dead. It happened just after 6:00 pm in the 500-block of Radnor Street, next to Steele Elementary School.
Police say the victim, a man in his thirties, was shot once in the chest while sitting in his car. The bullet shattered the driver's side window. The car is not registered to Harrisburg.
Several neighbors say they heard the gunshot.
"I'm still shaking, I just came in the house and I'm still shaking," said Delores Curry of Harrisburg.
A few teachers also heard the shot. Parent teacher conferences were taking place at Steele Elementary at the time of the shooting.
"Witnesses at the school possibly saw one, maybe two people running from the scene, we don't know if that is related or not," said Chief Charles Kellar, Harrisburg City Police .
Police say they are interviewing witnesses. They have not determined a motive.
