One man dead after Adams County crash

Police say John A. Sharp, 74, Hanover, was pronounced dead at the scene and his passenger was taken to York Hospital.

ADAMS COUNTY, Pa. — A Hanover man is dead after a three vehicle crash crash involving a motorcycle on Saturday. 

The crash happened just after 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Reading Township, Adam County. 

Police say the driver of a Rav4 stopped at stop sign on Peppytown Road, turned left onto East Berlin Road, and hit another SUV. 

That SUV crossed the center line on East Berlin Road, and a motorcycle driven by John A. Sharp, 74, Hanover, collided with the back of the SUV. 

Reading Township Police say Sharp was pronounced dead at the scene, and his passenger was taken to York Hospital, where she is in stable condition. 

An 8 month old also suffered minor lacerations in the crash. 

Investigators say there are no signs of intoxication by anyone involved in the crash. 

Reading Township Police are investigating.
